The Plastic Pipe Institute has accumulated information from all PEX manufacturers to simplify head loss calculations. Simply select PEX, ASTM F876, pipe size, length, and water parameters, and the calculator not only tells you head loss in ft. of head, but also PSI, and what the velocity is. For PEX, 8 ft/sec. is the max.; 4 ft./sec. for metal pipe.
